AIM OF THE INTERNSHIP
As an MBA student specializing in [Human Resource], have to apply their academic
knowledge and gain practical experience in a real-world business environment.
OBJECTIVE OF THE INTERNSHIP
Understanding the Organization: To gain insight into the structure, functioning, and overall
operations of the organization, including its history, growth profile, organizational structure,
and future plans.
Familiarization with Departments and Functions: To familiarize myself with the different
departments within the organization, their respective functions, and the activities they
engage in, including documentation processes and procedures.
Business Process Understanding: To comprehend how key business processes are carried
out within the organization, including but not limited to areas such as marketing, finance,
human resources, operations, and information systems.
Interaction with Managers and Workers: To engage in meaningful interactions with
managers and workers across various departments, in order to understand their duties,
responsibilities, and the overall dynamics of their roles within the organization.
Theory versus Practice: To evaluate the extent to which the theoretical concepts and
principles learned in the classroom align with the actual practices and processes observed
within the organization.
EXPECTATIONS
During the internship, following things are expected to be followed by the students
Exposure to Different Departments: The students should look forward to opportunities to
shadow and work alongside professionals in different departments, gaining hands-on
experience and observing their day-to-day activities.
Access to Information and Resources: The students can ask the department heads to give
permission to access the relevant documentation, reports, and resources that will aid their
understanding of the organization and its various functions.
Guidance and Mentorship: The student should look for the guidance and mentorship of
experienced professionals who can provide insights, answer questions, and support their
learning journey throughout the internship period.
Projects and Assignments: Student’s should be opened undertaking projects or assignments
that contribute to the organization's goals and provide them with practical experience in
areas relevant to their academic specialization.
Regular Feedback and Evaluation: The students should look for value feedback as a means
of continuous improvement their progress and identify areas for further development.
Day to day Report: The students are expected to prepare reports on daily basis what they
learned and finally it should be submitted along with a detail report and should be updated
via mail to the respective guide on daily basis. (EOD- End of the Day)
SCOPE OF THE INTERNSHIP
The area of the study includes different departments like Production, Finance, Marketing,
HR, Quality control and Technical departments. The study covers the roles and
responsibilities of department heads and workers also. Further the scope covers in deep
about the Human Resource departments roles, functions, how they do their performance
appraisal and latest technologies used by the HR’s
METHODOLOGY
Both primary and secondary data can be used for data collection from the
organization.
Primary data is collected through interviews with employees at various levels.
Secondary data is obtained from company manuals especially quality manuals
company web site and other magazines and newspapers.
Direct observation is used to understand the production process
DELIVERABLES
Upon completion of the summer internship project, the following deliverables will be
provided:
Final Report: A detailed report should be prepared and submitted to the department on a
specific format.
Presentation: A visually appealing presentation summarizing the project's key findings,
recommendations, and potential impact.
